The Twyford & Ruscombe Local History Society was founded on 7th March 1977
Its objectives are -
To encourage Research and Interest in the history of Twyford & Ruscombe
Hold meetings on historical topics for members
Organise visits and days out to places of interest
Provide occasional informative Journals to each member
Publish monographs on subjects of interest to members

Members pay an annual subscription of £25 for a single member or £35 for a couple. Meetings are held in the Library at The Piggott School, Wargrave at 7:30pm on the second Monday of the month as notified in the programme. The Society produces a biannual Journal which is supplied free to members.
The Society organises visits to places of interest to members. It also occasionally publishes monographs on subjects of interest to members.
Visitors are always welcome to attend meetings for whom admission is £5.
