Social Visits - Our Social Secretary organises coach trips etc. during the year, to places of historic and other interests. Generally the visits are all inclusive of entry fees etc. although if it is a National Trust property, ...NT members using their NT entry card will only need to pay the coach fare portion of the overall day trip charge.

Fri. 7th April 2017 --- Down House ...40 (inc. coach, entry and buffet Lunch) ... If you are an English Heritage member the cost reduces to 29 inc. above.

Coach Leaves Loddon Hall 9.30am Friday morning.


Fri. 8th September 2017 --- Hughenden Manor .....26 (inc. coach, and entry) ... If you are an National Trust member the cost reduces to 16 inc. above.

Visit Hughenden Manor, High Wycombe the country home of Victorian Prime Minister, Benjamin Disraeli. During WW2 the Manor was used as a secret intelligence base code-named 'Hillside'. The UK Air Ministry staff at the Manor analysed aerial photography of Germany and created maps for bombing missions including the famous Dambusters raid. The Second World War room in the cellars has interactive exhibits / eye-witness accounts.
